Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured psychotherapy approach designed to help people recover from trauma, distressing life events, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties.

Sessions are 50 minutes long, and priced at £150. However, I strongly believe that access to therapy should not be restricted by financial barriers. A limited number of reduced‑fee appointments are available—please feel free to enquire if cost is a concern.

It works by helping the brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or “stuck.” EMDR doesn’t erase the memory—it changes how it’s stored, so it’s less distressing and more adaptive. The therapy uses bilateral stimulation (like side‑to‑side eye movements, sounds, or taps) while the client recalls parts of a traumatic memory. This mimics what the brain naturally does during REM sleep and supports the brain’s natural healing process.

What it helps with

  • PTSD
  • Childhood Trauma
  • Anxiety and Panic
  • Phobias
  • Grief and Loss
  • Addiction and Relapse Triggers

Why is it different?

  • No detailed talking about the trauma is required
  • Doesn’t rely on homework or traditional exposure
  • Rapid and often long‑lasting results

Addiction Treatment

Individualised treatment programmes aimed at understanding the underlying causes of addictive behaviours, developing coping strategies, and preventing relapse.

Sessions are 50 minutes long, and priced at £150. However, I strongly believe that access to therapy should not be restricted by financial barriers. A limited number of reduced‑fee appointments are available—please feel free to enquire if cost is a concern.

1:1 Addiction Therapy: Depth, Compassion, and Lasting Change

Addiction is rarely the whole story—it's often a response to pain, disconnection, trauma, or unmet needs. In intensive 1:1 therapy, I create a space that’s safe, relational, and attuned to the complexity beneath the substance use.

Our work goes beyond surface behaviours. Together, we explore the nervous system’s role in survival patterns, unpick old relational dynamics, and build healthier ways to communicate, connect, and regulate.

We identify the deeper drivers of addiction—shame, grief, trauma, unmet attachment needs—and bring them into compassionate focus. Alongside this, we will develop together practical relapse prevention tools, grounded in real-life triggers and emotional landscapes.

  • Behavioural and substance addictions
  • Harm‑reduction and abstinence‑based approaches
  • Relapse‑prevention planning

This is not a quick fix—it’s a steady, respectful process of helping you reconnect with your self, your values, and the possibility of life beyond addiction.

Eating Disorder Therapy

Specialist, trauma‑informed psychotherapy for anorexia, bulimia, binge‑eating and other disordered‑eating patterns. Sessions integrate evidence‑based modalities—EMDR, somatic approaches, and attachment‑focused work—to address both the behaviours and the underlying emotional drivers.

Therapy is collaborative and paced to honour your nervous system. We explore the function of the eating disorder (control, numbness, self‑protection), build alternative regulation strategies, and strengthen your relationship with body, hunger and self‑worth.

Sessions are 50 minutes long, and priced at £150. However, I strongly believe that access to therapy should not be restricted by financial barriers. A limited number of reduced‑fee appointments are available—please feel free to enquire if cost is a concern.

Focus areas

  • Nutritional and emotional attunement
  • Body‑image distress and shame reduction
  • Trauma & attachment wounds underlying disordered eating
  • Relapse‑prevention planning and support during weight restoration

This is consultancy rooted in integrity—supporting services to move beyond compliance, and towards lasting, human-centred
